Ateneo Takes A Dip; Loses to La Salle, 82-73 | Ties with UP at Last Place

Without Kiefer Ravena, the formidable Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles is in chaos. With a great start at the first half of the game, it was really pure magic how De La Salle Green Archers still maanaged to pull a win over their arch nemesis, 82-73. >

DLSU Green Archers now holds a 2-1 record while Ateneo Blue Eagles still got 0-3, at the bottom of the pack with the UP Fighting Maroons at the UAAP Season 76 Men's Basketball Tournament.

Ateneo bagged an impressive 12-point lead in the first half of the game, with 40-28. But the Green Archers snatched the lead in the third quarter when big man Arnold van Opstal dominated the game, scoring eight points straight. Thanks to that and some more points, they gained the lead upon entering the last quarter, 59-56.

Fatigue struck the Ateneo Blue Eagles and La Salle managed to sustain the lead at the fourth quarter, ending the game. Almond Vosotros is the highest scorer with 19, while Van Opstal has 18. Ravena missed his second game while Revilla, from the Archers, wasn't able to play too.
